how to determine if a rational expression is undefined

Will somebody be able to crack my difficulty with my math? I have strived to find myself a tutor who can assist me. But so far I have not succeeded. Its difficult to locate somebody easy to get to and within my means. But then I must get over my difficulty with how to determine if a rational expression is undefined as my exams are fast approaching just now. It will be a large help for me if anyone can assist me.
