how to use combination permutation on ti 83

I have a test tomorrow afternoon. But I’m stuck with questions based on how to use combination permutation on ti 83. I’m facing problems understanding fractional exponents and adding exponents because I just can’t seem to figure out a way to solve problems based on them. I called my friends and I tried on the internet, but neither of those activities did any good. I’m still trying but the time is running out and I can’t seem to get a hang of it. Can somebody please show me the way? I really need some help from you guys for tomorrows test. Please do reply.
