polynomial long division and calculator is my biggest problem. Can any one help me understand it? I am a novice at it. What book or other resource do you suggest for starting this subject?

Hey, just a year ago, I was stuck in a similar scenario. I had even considered the option of dropping math and taking up some other course. I remember having problems with equivalent fractions, algebraic signs and exponent rules. Algebra Buster is a truly great piece of math software. I have used it through several math classes - Basic Math, Intermediate algebra and Algebra 1. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
