Friends, I am in need of help on x-intercept, side-side-side similarity, greatest common factor and factoring expressions. Since I am a beginner to Algebra 1, I really want to learn the fundamentals of College Algebra completely. Can anyone suggest the best resource with which I can start learning the fundamental principles? I have an exam next week.

You seem to be more horrified than confused. First you need to control your self. Do not panic. Sit back, relax and look at the books with an open mind. They will seem tough if you think they are tough. (square root of x minus square root of y)/(square root of x plus square root of y) can be easily understood and you can solve almost every problem with the help of Algebra Buster. So chill.
