solving equations using matlab

Hi! We just started discussing a new chapter in algebra about solving equations using matlab and I did pretty well for most homeworks we got but the latest one my professor gave really hard so I'd appreciate if somebody would assist me to understand it! It’s a problem solving assignment my math teacher gave out this day and it’s due next week and I tried answering it but to no avail. I just can’t finish it easily unlike the other assignments. I had an easy time solving my past homeworks but this particular homework with specific topic of graphing function just gives me difficulty just discovering how to start. I’m desperately in need of help. I’ll really be grateful if someone help me in explaining the steps and how to solve it in a organized and clear way.

Algebra Buster is a very simple product and is certainly worth a try. You will find quite a few exciting stuff there. I use it as reference software for my math problems and can swear that it has made learning math much more enjoyable.
