Signs of Coordinates in the Plane
In Quadrant 1, the x-coordinate and y-coordinate are both
positive.
In Quadrant 2, the x-coordinate is always negative and the
y-coordinate is always positive.
In Quadrant 3, the x-coordinate and y-coordinate are both
negative.
In Quadrant 4, the x-coordinate is always positive and the
y-coordinate is always negative.
On the x-axis, the y-coordinate is always 0.
On the y-axis, the x-coordinate is always 0.
