Multiplying Polynomials

When multiplying polynomials , we use the distributive property . We multiply each term of the first polynomial by each term of the second polynomial.

Examples:
2x (5x+7)
2x•5x+2x•7
10x²+14x

(x+3)(x-8)
x•x+x• (-8) +3•x+3• (-8)
x²- 8x+3x-24
x²-5x-24

(2x²-7)(x³+x+1)
2x²•x³+2x²•x+2x²•1+(-7)•x³+(-7)•x+(-7)•1
2x5+2x³+2x²-7x³-7x-7
2x5-5x3+2x2-7x-7
