preparing outside work. Academic work submitted by students shall be the result of their thought, work,
research or self-expression. Academic work is defined as, but not limited to, tests, quizzes, whether taken
electronically or on paper; projects, either in multiplication -and-division-of.html">dividual or group ; classroom presentations; and homework.
Students who violate the rules concerning scholastic dishonesty will be assessed an academic penalty which
the instructor determines is in keeping with the seriousness of the offense. This academic penalty may range
from receiving a ZERO for that exam and the student will be reported to the Vice President of Student
Personnel. Likewise , any student whose paper is copied from will receive a ZERO. If a second incident of
cheating occurs, or is suspected, that student will receive a grade of “F” in the course and again reported to
the Vice President of Student Personnel.

ATTENDANCE / WITHDRAWAL POLICY:
A student may be dropped from the course for any one of the fol lowing reasons :
*missing 4 classes (excused or unexcused absences)
*missing 3 consecutive quizzes
*missing the Midterm
*failure to register with www.mathxl.com by Friday of the first week of class

However, it is the student’s responsibility to withdraw from the course if student can longer attend.

AMERICAN DISABILITIES ACT:
If you have a verified physical, medical, psychological, or learning disability or perhaps you feel you may have one of these disabilities which impacts your ability to carry out assigned course work, please contact the Disabled Student Services (DSS) office. DSS staff will review your needs and determine what accommodations are necessary and appropriate. All information and documentation is confidential. DSS is located in the Lesher Student Services Bldg. Room 234, phone 384-6155. In Los Banos, DSS is located in Building A, phone 381-6423.
