Step-by-step Equation Solver
This math calculator enables you to solve and graph an equation and solve a system of equations. Here are some hints on the solver usage:
if your problem doesn't contain an equal sign ("=") you are on the wrong page. Expressions can't be "solved", only simplified. Click on the Expressions menu item.
if there is only one variable present, you don't have to specify it. If there is more than one, you have to tell the solver which variable to solve for.
when graphing an equation, make sure that it is in the form y = ...., where the right side contains no other variable than 'x' (i.e. varible 'y' needs to be explicit).
When solving a system of equations, make sure that they are linear. The default number of equations is 2, but you can specify more than 2 equations, if needed.
